Arizona Empowerment Scholarship Account
Using ESA funds for music therapy
Music therapy is currently an approved Arizona ESA expense for students on a qualifying contract. Dozens of families we work with use Empowerment Scholarship Account funds to cover their child's music therapy sessions with us.
How ESA can apply here
Families typically use ESA funds toward the initial assessment ($175) and ongoing 40 minutes sessions ($115). The main thing to check is that your student is on an ESA contract that makes music therapy an eligible expense.
No referral or prescription is required to begin with us. We're happy to look at your contract with you and talk through whether our services fit your student's ESA plan before you commit to anything.
What families should know
ESA rules and contract categories can change, so families should confirm that their specific contract covers music therapy under the current Arizona ESA program. We're glad to help you understand what to look for.
Approval and reimbursement decisions are made by the Arizona ESA program, not by Peyton Music Therapy. What we can promise is that your paperwork from us will be clear, itemized, and complete.
